Cheryl Lynn Cool was born April 13,1957, in Chicago Illinois to the union of the late Ernest “Duke” Miller and Thelma T. Miller.
Her adolescent years were spent on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. There she graduated from Fenger High School. Cheryl Lynn worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for fifteen years, she was the Unit Manager of over ten staff members. Cheryl Lynn had many academic achievements: Cosmetology Program Graduate Pivot Point Academy; Bachelor of Science – Northern Illinois University; Master of Science in Nursing – Olivet Nazarene University; Black Nursing Association; Illinois Nursing Association, and Soror of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
Cheryl Lynn was a member of and passionate about her special achievements. Classical dancer and Instructor at Miss Pat’s School of Dance, Tribune Ruth Pages’ Nutcracker Suite Ballet Dancer, Bowling League, Vocalist Church Choir, Fashion Show Commentator, and Hair Salon Owner for over 40 years. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Donald Parsons. On September 16, 1989, Cheryl Lynn was united in holy matrimony to Emerson Cool.
She was preceded in death by her father: Ernest “Duke” Miller. God in His infinite wisdom called Cheryl Lynn into final reward on April 8, 2023, around 7:30 P.M. Cheryl Lynn leaves to mourn: her husband Minister Emerson Cool; her mother Thelma T. Miller; brothers Ernest L. Miller (Eloise) and Reverend Dr. Michael E. Miller (Carol); a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and a special life-long friend, Sharon Cockerham.
