In Loving Memory of John Sinclair Powell Jr.

With a very heavy heart, we announce the passing of our son, brother, and father, John Sinclair Powell, on November 8, 2024.

John was born September 8, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, to the union of John Powell and Virgie A Powell.    John was educated in the Chicago public school system.  John enlisted into the United States Army on 10/16/1986.  He trained at the United States Army Field Artillery Center in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.  John served four years in the US Army and received an honorable discharge.  He leaves to cherish his memories, those of his parents, children, siblings, and many relatives and friends.  John received Jesus Christ as his lord and savior.  Tho we mourn his pasting, we are comforted knowing that John was received by his loving creator, all mighty God.  We will join him later, as. John, an individual known for his humor, his playful personality, and his willingness to help others. John’s departure leaves an unfillable void in our lives, yet we find comfort in our memories and everlasting love of him.
