JOSEPH JOHN JUCIUS JR

Joseph Jucius, a long-time resident of Chicago Heights, passed away peacefully on the evening of Thursday, December 7, 2023, with family by his side at the age of 87.

Born February 19, 1936, Joseph grew up in the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago.

He served in the Air Force from 1953-1957, receiving The National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

He was a draftsman for North American Car Corporation and Thrall Car and worked several years at Century Tile in Matteson before retiring.

Joseph enjoyed conversations about movies, music, the White Sox and the PGA. He was an avid baseball/softball player, bowler, and golfer.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ruth Jucius, and his sister Carol Ward. He was survived by his daughter Kelly (Alan) Basile, son Cory (Jessica) Jucius, and his four grandchildren, Michael Basile,  Paige Basile,  Dmitriy Jucius and Ilya Jucius.
