Laura Buffin was born on May 2, 1938, in Holly Ridge, Mississippi to her parents Emma Owens and Carl Red and raised by her Aunt Sufronia (Annie) Harper in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Laura was united in holy matrimony to Willie Buffin on November 16, 1964. She confessed to Christ at an early age and accepted him as her Lord and Savior. Laura went on to become a Mother under the leadership of Bishop Cynthia E. Wesley Pastor of God’s Universal House of Blessing where she served and was much loved. Years later, Laura became a Mother of Dixmoor Community Church under the leadership of Bishop Major Johnson until her health began to fail.
Laura retired from Bally Manufacturing Corporation after serving 23 years. Before truly exiting the workforce, she became a caretaker for the Sackheim’s Family and their dogs.
She loved some good cooking, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
