Mr. Leroy Jones III was born on December 14, 1974, in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He was the eldest of two children born to his proud parents, Leroy Jr. and Katelyn Jones.
Leroy received his formal education at Bloom Township High School and was employed by TJ Maxx for more than 30 years. Throughout his career, he served with professionalism, dependability, and an unwavering commitment to excellent customer service. His colleagues respected him for his calm demeanor, versatile skill set, and ability to handle challenges efficiently.
In his leisure time, Leroy enjoyed watching sports, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Leroy was a servant of God from a young age and was baptized at Payne Chapel AME Church. He later attended Fellowship of Love Christian Center in Hammond, Indiana, under the leadership of Pastor Derrick White.
Leroy possessed a warm smile that could brighten any room, a sense of humor that left everyone laughing, and a gentle presence that made all who knew him feel welcome. He was thoughtful, dependable, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Although Leroy was not married and had no children, he found tremendous joy in the love of his family and the lifelong friendships he cultivated. He was a devoted son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend whose presence enriched the lives of many.
Leroy was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Leroy Sr. and Eunice Jones, Dexter and Lola Solomon; his uncles and aunts, Eleanor Jones, Jimmy Jones Sr., Ervin Jones, Keith Solomon, Thomas Solomon, Faye Deere, and Dexter Solomon.
